About this event

Ever wanted to try your hand at game development? This quick, 2-hour introduction is the perfect place to start. Local video game developer organization RunJumpDev will walk you through the basics of Godot with hands-on activities designed for absolute beginners. You won't just learn the tools, you'll also take home resources and a roadmap to help you continue building your own game. Godot is a general-purpose 2D and 3D game engine designed to support all sorts of projects. You can use it to create games or applications you can then release on desktop or mobile, as well as on the web. Ages: 13 and up Experience: No prior experience needed Note: Registration required After the morning workshop, RunJumpDev invites you to join their Game Dev Together session in the afternoon from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. You will be able to work on your game or work through a tutorial with other game developers who are there to help. Registration not required for the afternoon session.
